Blast from the Past

This is a mini Blast from the past. I came across some pictures from the past couple of years so I decided to post them! This was the summer that Diamond and Deonte spent with us. What a fun and crazy summer that was! Troy always says that it was the best summer he's ever had because he had his kids with him! I'm sure there will be many more blast from the past pictures to come! :)

Holiday Goofiness

These are a few pictures from around Christmas time that I FINALLY downloaded onto the computer.....I procrastinate too much sometimes! Oh well....they are here now.

It's Troy, Diamond, Deonte, and Tyler doing what they all enjoy doing....being goofy together!!

Diamond's Big Day - GRADUATION!!

Troy, Kesha (his sister), and I travelled to Salisbury, Maryland this past Thursday to see Diamond graduate from Wicomico High School. Troy didn't cry as much as I thought he would, but he did get teary eyed a few times!

Although I've only been around Diamond for the past 4 or 5 years, I have to say that I am very proud of her! She has made such huge progress and has really become a beautiful young woman! She has many talents to share with others, and we are all blessed to have her in our lives! We all wish her nothing but the very best as she continues with the next chapter of her life! It only gets more difficult and complicated from here on out, but we all know that she is up for the challenge and that she will succeed in what ever she chooses to do!

Rockville Memorial Day Parade

Troy and I went to the Rockville Memorial Day Parade again this year (it was actually today....the day of this post!). Tyler has been in the parade for the past couple of years, so we go to watch him. Check out the pictures below......

Some cool go karts/doom buggies

Here they come....Maryvale's Finest (Tyler's dancing in this group)
Some classic cars.....

Happy Mother's Day!

I like to do arts and crafts with the kids when they are here. I think it really helps them learn to focus, and uses their creative side! We made flowers for mother's day (well, it was actually after mother's day, but you wouldn't have known that unless I told you!). We used die cut flowers, glitter, buttons, glue, hot glue, pipe cleaners, rice, and a small water bottle.

I think they turned out really well!

Trip to Utah - Headed to Vegas for Anniversary!

Troy and I decided to spend our 1 year wedding anniversary in Las Vegas. We drove from where my sister lives in West Jordan, Utah to Las Vegas, Nevada. What a drive!! I will never do that trip again! It was too long! I was exhausted by the time we got to Vegas! We did stop several times though along the way to take pictures, eat, use the bathroom, etc. Unfortunately, when we got to Vegas, I didn't feel like taking pictures, so we don't have any Vegas pictures. Guess we'll just have to go to Vegas again to get some pictures! :) We had a wonderful time in Vegas....for the most part. We stayed in the Tropicana hotel on the 19th floor, the same day as a huge boxing match at the Mandalay Bay (right across the street from us). We were actually woken up that night to what I first thought were fireworks.....I was wrong. It was a drive by shooting! Happy Anniversary, huh? And I started to get sick that night, so I wasn't feeling 100%. As it turns out, I got strep throat. Yuck!

Inspite of the setbacks, we had a wonderful time! Troy and I always have fun together...guess that's one of the reasons we got married! :)

Pictures below are of the mountains in Arizona, and of Troy standing in front of the state signs.
