FAILED.......booooo

My nurse in my OB/GYN's office just called me.  She said I failed my glucose tolerance test so I do have gestational diabetes.  Boooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!  However, it is extremely common with multiples.  The placenta produces hormones that block natural insulin production, so with TWO placentas, that's twice the hormones, and twice the blockage.  I go in tomorrow for an appointment with the nurse to learn what I need to eat, to get my glucose monitoring machine, and to learn how to use it.  I'm glad they caught it, and that I am able to get in ASAP to get it under control!  (I still don't know the number for the third hour....I just know I failed).
